New Vistas is an annual capstone project by
graduating students from Humber
Polytechnic’s Arts Administration and Cultural
Management program, combining a visual arts
exhibition with a live theatre performance. In
partnership with the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art
Gallery, it showcases early-career artists from
equity-deserving communities, promoting
underrepresented voices and diverse
perspectives. The initiative supports artists in
exhibiting and selling their work while providing
students with practical arts management
experience, preparing them for leadership
roles in the cultural sector.

Echoes of Home
This year’s New Vistas exhibition, Echoes of Home, invites artists to explore the complex and personal concept of
"home." Whether home is a place, a memory, a feeling, or a community, Echoes of Home encourages artists to reflect
on what this idea means to them and how it resonates in their lives and work. Through diverse artistic expressions, we
hope to create a space for dialogue around belonging, identity, and the evolving nature of home in a constantly
changing world.
Echoes of Home aims to connect our community by amplifying voices from various backgrounds and experiences,
showcasing work that speaks to universal themes while celebrating individual perspectives.
What does 'home' mean to you?
How does culture shape your identity?
